Mount (Mt.) Rushmore Fireworks Display - July 3, 2005

Mount Rushmore National Park puts on a serious fireworks display for the Fourth of July each year. This year (2005) I decided to make it to MT Rushmore for the fireworks as part of my annual long motorcycle trip. Adam met me in Lewisburg, PA and we headed west. The route we took brought us past South Dakota and into Western Montana where we headed south into Wyoming. We crossed through Yellowstone on our way to the Grand Tetons before heading east through some really great motorcycle roads heading back to South Dakota. We arrived in Rapid City, SD on July 2nd. The fireworks display was set for the evening of July 3rd at Mount Rushmore so we had time to get into our motel & relax for a few hours. I photographed very little on this trip other than the fireworks display. The fireworks displays that follow were photograhed from a hillside about 1/2 mile away from Mount Rushmore National Park.
